Finding a dentist near you in Melville that you like is never easy. It’s even worse when you consider that you need to find one dentist for general procedures, one for cosmetic, and specialists for individual needs. Luckily, our office employs all of these different dentists under a single roof. Here are a few of the services that we offer.
Periodontal Services
Finding a periodontist that you’re comfortable with can be difficult. That’s why we’ve done the hard part and brought together the best professionals throughout the state. In addition to our many other dental services, you can now receive all of your necessary periodontic services here under the same roof.
Periodontists are dentists who receive specialized training relating to periodontal disease. However, there are several other services and treatments that they provide that are not specifically related to the treatment of that disease. For example, it is often a periodontist who performs dental implants because they have an in-depth understanding of the structures that support the teeth, such as the gums and bones.
We prefer to offer non-surgical periodontal treatment when at all possible. We want to provide the best possible care to our patients in the least invasive manner. However, when necessary, our periodontal professionals are capable of performing the necessary dental surgeries.
Endodontic Services
Much like a periodontist, an endodontist is a dentist who has received additional education and training relating to a certain specialization. In the case of the endodontist, the specialization relates to the inside of the tooth. In particular, they have a great understanding of the dental pulp and its overall role in dental health.
Most of us are familiar with root canals. Even if you’ve never experienced one, you’ve likely heard stories of how painful they can be. This is a procedure performed by an endodontic specialist. We understand the fear that many people have of the procedure, which is why we strive to employ the best specialists in the state. Sedation is available for the root canal as well as for most of the procedures that we offer.
General And Cosmetic Dentistry
Finally, we offer all of the general and cosmetic procedures that you’ll need to keep your mouth healthy and remain confident in your smile. This includes dentures, teeth whitening procedures, check-ups, gum inspections, and the diagnosing and treatment of dental health concerns.
In the past, you would need to research and find multiple dental offices capable of handling these unique jobs. Now you can stop searching because

More Information About Melville, NY…
If you find yourself passing through Long Island New York, you may go through a tiny hamlet called Melville along the way. Melville is one of many small “towns” (though technically not a town, it’s a census designated place located within a town called Huntington) found throughout New York that are often overshadowed by their larger neighbors throughout the state. Keep reading below to learn a few things about Melville, Long Island.
History
While currently known as Melville, this tiny area has had many names over its long history. It was once called Sunsquams by local Native Americans, then at some point in the 17th century it became known as Samuel Ketcham’s Valley in honor of a local resident. In later years, it was known as Sweet Hollow. Finally, according to school records, the area became known as Melville in 1854.
Population
It’s hard to imagine that not every city/town in New York is home to millions of people. It’s true however, and Melville is a perfect example. Per the last census taken in 2010, Melville is home to just under 19,000 residents. The average household income in this hamlet is $170,000 per year. Clearly, this is one of the more affluent areas in New York outside of Manhattan. This can be attributed to the many Fortune 500 companies that are headquartered there.
Demographics
New York City is probably one of the most racially diverse cities in the country, but that isn’t the case in Melville. The two locations are polar opposites when it comes to racial diversity, with Melville being just under 90% White. Asians come in second at 5%, Hispanics are third at 3.7%, and Blacks come in fourth at 2%.
Things to Do
Clearly the best entertainment is found a little farther down the road in NYC, but Melville does have a few local attractions for folks who prefer avoiding the crowds. If you like bowling, there’s Bowlmor Lanes located on 895 Walt Whitman Rd.
If hunting for bargains is more your thing, check out Tanger Outlets just outside Melville in Deer Park. For those with children, hit up White Post Farms at 250 Old Country Rd. They have a petting zoo kids will love and lots of fresh vegetables and home made pies for the older folks.
